Goodbye 🐍 and hello 🐎
Sometimes I get the impression that I haven’t done enough (hello imposter syndrome! 👋), but making these recap posts reminds me of all the things I’ve achieved - so just take a chillpill woman!
This year, I learned some lessons, both good and bad. I’ve received emails that made me jump for joy, rejections that turned me into a puddle on the floor, all in all singing made me feel everything ten times over. Yet, I’ve also never felt more free and in tune with myself.
These three years as a freelancer feel like I’ve lived through a condensed version of ten years’ worth of experiences. Most importantly, I’ll look back on 2025 as the year I fell in love with my voice again. Singing is a constant journey of self-discovery, and it’s the most challenging yet beautiful thing. Let’s make 2026 even more meaningful, one step and one breath at a time.

- Travelled to 8 different countries, sang in 11 cities
- I was a semifinalist in @elizabethconnellprize
- I sang my first guest contract in Elektra at @konzerttheaterstgallen
- Became a mermaid at @soeholm_opera
- I attended a masterclass in beautiful Bad Saarow where I learned Qi Gong and cracked both emotional and technical codes with @kirsten_schoetteldreier (and the rest of the incredible team)
- I sang my first “Hojotoho” in an audition
- I started working with the wonderful @alicezorzit and @juliemartindutheil from ArteMIS
- I reconnected with old friends and made some new ones along the way❤️

To some, it might seem like a subtle brag… but it is the reality of how my months look with auditions, coachings and preparation. I sometimes feel like I’m just following where the lead takes me, but I’m grinning from ear to ear because I get to sing opera every day and it is the best job in the world 🌍 🧳

Masterclass • The Art of Singing
I had the most fantastic time working with the incredible @kirsten_schoetteldreier and @burkhard_fritz at the 12th edition of The Art of Singing. It was a week filled with talented colleagues, technical breakthroughs, questionable Google searching (Qigong really put me on an energetic rollercoaster 🎢✨), beautiful surroundings, and horse cuddles. Thank you to the excellent pianists @benedict.kearns and @daanboertien.pianist for accompanying and coaching me through the week. I hope we get to make music again soon!
